the role:Boston Scientific is recruiting a Varithena Sales
Associate. This is a starting point for someone to learn and
transition into a Sales Consultant Role within the Peripheral
Interventions Division. The Varithena Associate will be assigned by
a Region to an existing territory in which there is potential to
convert and grow the business.Varithena Associates will be held
accountable for delivering exceptional service through team driven
directives, revenue impact, clinical education needs, and execution
of new business opportunities that reflect the company's strategy
and priorities. The role works collaboratively with the Regional
Manager and or territory consultant to provide support and drive
sales revenue at identified accounts. Each Varithena Associate will
report directly to a Regional Sales Manager. Additionally,
Varithena Associates may be required to work outside their primary
assignments as required by business conditions.At Boston
Scientific, our products and technologies diagnose or treat a wide
range of medical conditions. We continue to innovate in key areas
and are extending our innovations into new geographies and
high-growth adjacency markets. Within the Peripheral Intervention
(PI) franchise, this opportunity will be among the CVI team
specializing in treating Chronic Venous Insufficiency.Your
responsibilities will include:
- Build strong customer relationships through routine visits,
product demonstrations, educational programs, product in-services,
procedural observation, and problem resolution.
- Relationships will be established with physician, nurses, and
technicians.
- Partner seamlessly with a sales consultant to grow and increase
selling time.
- Take on revenue-generating projects and goals to support
account ownership.
- Work closely with sales consultants and your region sales
manager to evaluate business conditions and sales trends.
- Assist in developing and executing on quarterly and off-cycle
inventory counts. High commitment to achieve revenue targets.
- Maintain accurate records of sales and secure purchase orders
to regional manager on ongoing business activities, competitive
conditions, industry trends, etc. Submit any required
administrative paperwork in a timely manner.
- Manage expense budget and promotional budget within the BSC
guideline.
- Maintain Sales Rep Assigned Inventory (SRAI).
- Timely completion of required training as assigned.
- Follow compliance regulations. Conduct all sales activities
according to Travel & Entertainment (T&E) guidelines, Advanced
Policies, and Integrity Policies.Your experience and skills have
prepared you for these required position requirements:
- 2 years plus of relevant business and/or sales experience.
- Sales travel commitment is 30-40%.
- BA/BS in a business discipline, AA with defined plans for
completion of BA/BS.
- Proven and documented sales success.
- Self-starter, solution oriented, team player, proven leadership
qualities while accepting direction to achieve team goals.
- Strategic thinker (with the ability to recognize their
contribution to the big picture).
- Able to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Must be energetic, enthusiastic, determined and goal-oriented
individual.
- Excels and is motivated to work in a fast-paced, competitive
environment.
- Occasional weekends, trade shows, internal meetings and/or
