Job Description: RETAIL PEOPLE OPERATIONS MANAGER SUMMARY OF THE
POSITION The Ritual Retail People Operations Manager is an

Operations Manager, you do not need to know our exact systems
before you start, but you need to be emotionally intelligent, able
to jump in and develop solutions where needed, and excited to

appreciation for coffee and people. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- BE A LEADER ON THE RITUAL LEADERSHIP TEAM AND MANAGING
CULTURE
- Contribute to the overall culture of creating a safe,
productive, and fulfilling work environment for all, and to

growth of the company.
- Facilitate 1:1 supervision, give and receive peer feedback, and
role model to continuously tend to our culture and create a safer,
more productive, and fulfilling work environment.
- Work with the leadership team to evolve and implement standards
for Ritual's culture, values, quality, and customer service.
- Be an active contributor, participant, and collaborator to help
achieve Ritual's day-to-day and long-term goals, both individually
and on our leadership team.
- Participate in or lead improvement committees and projects when
needed. OVERSEEING THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Lead and develop the Retail Team: Supervise 4 Cafe Managers and
oversee supervision of all retail employees.
- Hiring: Anticipate hiring needs for retail cafes and catering,
oversee all retail hiring processes, manage all job description
postings, filter resumes, create organized files for candidates,
and ensure they get transferred when hired.
- Onboarding & orientation: Collaborate in creating an
orientation process to welcome new hires into the company &
culture, oversee onboarding for all new hires, and ensure new hires
are onboarded into communication platforms, time & attendance,
etc.
- Training: Provide ongoing training and mentorship for managers,
lead ongoing training such as DEI initiatives, de-escalation,
harassment prevention, etc.
- Managing and Supervision: Supervise Cafe Managers and support
their growth, provide regular and formal feedback, and oversee
supervision of 30-50 retail employees. Conduct bi-annual reviews
and address staff morale issues.
- Exit interviews & offboarding: Coordinate exit processes for
departing employees to ensure a positive experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 2-5 years experience managing people, preferably in the food
service industry.
- Proven experience building healthy and inclusive diverse
teams.
- Skilled at soliciting and implementing feedback to improve
performance.
- Excellent communication and teaching skills.
- Love of coffee!
- Proficiency with Google Drive and general comfort with
technology.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States. COMPENSATION +
BENEFITS Ritual Coffee offers benefits including subsidized medical
insurance, dental insurance, commuter benefits, paid time off, paid
sick days, holidays, and a matching 401k plan. Starting salary is
